Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and strategic Financial Controller to join our team. As the key financial expert, you will play a pivotal role in driving the financial success of the organization. Your responsibilities will include overseeing daily financial operations, ensuring compliance with group policies and accounting principles, preparing and reviewing monthly financial statements, managing cash flow, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee daily financial operations and ensure compliance with group policies and accounting principles.
* Prepare and review monthly financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
* Manage cash flow, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes.
* Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures.
* Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to ensure realistic and achievable budgets.
* Prepare financial forecasts and analyse variances between actuals and forecasts, providing insights and recommendations.
* Generate comprehensive financial reports and presentations for senior management.
* Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
* Conduct periodic audits to assess the effectiveness of internal controls and compliance with policies.
* Coordinate with other departments to ensure a collaborative approach to financial management.
Qualifications & Skills
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
* A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, preferably in the hospitality industry.
* A strong understanding of hotel accounting principles and practices.
* Proficiency in financial management software and advanced Excel skills.
* Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
* Proven leadership abilities and experience managing a finance team.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
