Principal Safety and Environmental Expert
The primary role of the Principal Safety and Environmental Expert is to oversee and enhance health, safety, and environmental standards across various construction projects.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Regular site audits and inspections are conducted to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations as well as company policies.
2. Risk assessments and method statements are developed, reviewed, and updated to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
3. Training sessions and toolbox talks are delivered to site personnel and subcontractors promoting best practices in workplace safety.
4. Incidents, accidents, and near-misses are investigated preparing detailed reports with recommendations for corrective actions.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
* In-depth knowledge of EHS regulations, risk assessment, and hazard identification.
* Proficiency in incident investigation, root cause analysis, and safety performance data analysis.
* Expertise in management systems (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
* Able to effectively collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, and staff training on EHS practices.
