Summary:
We are is seeking a Electrical Construction Manager to oversee and deliver electrical upgrade projects within a biopharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Waterford. The successful candidate will manage on-site construction activities, ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, and coordinate all electrical works to support ongoing CAPEX programmes.
Responsibilities:
* Lead, supervise and coordinate all electrical construction activities on site.
* Manage electrical contractors, supervision teams and trades to ensure safe, high-quality, compliant execution of works.
* Develop and review construction plans, schedules and electrical work packs aligned with project timelines.
* Ensure strict adherence to Health & Safety requirements, promoting a strong safety culture across all project teams.
* Coordinate with Engineering, EHS, CQV, Operations and Project Management teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
* Attend and contribute to site meetings, project reviews, planning sessions and handover processes.
* Monitor progress, identify risks or delays, and implement corrective actions to maintain schedule and budget.
* Oversee documentation, redlines, technical queries and change control processes during construction.
* Support commissioning and handover activities as required.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Degree or trade qualification in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline will be an advantage.
* Minimum 5 to 7 years' experience in construction management, with some experience in a GMP regulated environment.
* Experience delivering electrical upgrade projects.
* Experience in CAPEX project delivery within biopharma facilities will be an advantage.
* Knowledge of commissioning and turnover processes (e.g. FAT/SAT, energisation, handover).
