We are working in partnership with a well-established mechanical and electrical contractor delivering complex projects across data centres, commercial, and pharmaceutical sectors.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Junior Mechanical Project Engineerto support live projects in Dublin.
The role offers hands-on exposure to mechanical design, site delivery, and close collaboration with senior engineers, making it an ideal platform for early-career development.
Key Responsibilities: Assist with reviewing drawings, specifications, and schedules to ensure compliance with project and regulatory standards Support site teams to ensure mechanical works are installed in line with project specifications and QA plans Assist in developing engineering solutions, calculations, and sketches for review by senior engineers and clients Review Design/IFC documentation to understand project scope and priorities Assist with the preparation and management of RFIs and technical queries Support the review of coordinated construction drawings and technical documentation Assist in preparing technical submittals for client approval Review specialist supplier packages for compliance with specifications and design intent Support procurement scheduling in coordination with the procurement team Assist with BCAR documentation and preliminary inspection plans Provide on-site support including setting-out activities and quality inspections as required Role Requirements: Level 7 or Level 8 Degree in Mechanical Engineering1+ years' experience in a similar industry role (desirable, not essential)Strong IT skills with familiarity in Auto CAD, Navisworks, and Microsoft Office Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Strong communication and interpersonal skills Willingness to learn and develop in a fast-paced project environment
