Join a specialist team delivering innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges in the site-based Electrical Projects division. You will design and deliver electrical building services and infrastructure for major construction projects supporting a diverse portfolio of global clients.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Deliver electrical engineering design for major construction capital projects
Design and specify compliant electrical engineering solutions in line with current regulations and industry standards
Work closely with clients and project engineers to lead and deliver robust technical solutions
Undertake electrical building services design, working independently on smaller projects or as part of a wider project team on larger, more complex developments under the direction of a Project Manager
Develop and review electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and general arrangement drawings for power distribution, lighting, security, voice and data, and life safety systems
Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications and design risk assessments
Produce electrical calculations using industry-standard electrical design software
Ensure all electrical designs comply with relevant electrical codes, safety standards, and pharmaceutical industry regulations
Conduct site surveys and inspections to verify that installations align with regulatory requirements and design intent
Lead pre-construction engineering activities, including design development, construction detailing, services coordination, technical submittals, and subcontractor engagement
Provide technical support to construction teams throughout the installation phase
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical engineers, automation specialists, and project managers, to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems into plant operations
Experience
Strong technical expertise across all aspects of electrical engineering services and design
Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
6–8+ years of relevant experience, preferably within a design consultancy environment
In-depth knowledge of current electrical design standards and industry best practices
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and relevant electrical design software packages
Proven experience working with and managing clients, vendors, and contractors
