Job Opportunity: Kitchen Porter
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our catering services team at University Hospital Galway as a key member.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role in a fast-paced environment, excellent time management skills, knowledge of Food Hygiene including HACCP, and a problem-solving mind with a flexible can-do attitude.
Responsibilities:
* Maintain a supply of kitchen utensils, cooking pots and trays to ensure seamless operation.
* Ensure highest standards of Food Safety and Hygiene are maintained in the kitchen and associated areas under the guidance of the Head Chef.
* Carry out daily tasks related to food safety and quality records within the kitchen and associated areas.
* Maintain a high standard of hygiene in respect of the premises, kitchens, and self, adhering to hospital policies.
* Assist with transporting deliveries onsite from the main kitchen to ward kitchens efficiently.
* Perform reasonable tasks that support service delivery, food preparation, hygiene, and overall kitchen efficiency.
