**Accommodation Manager Opportunity**
We are currently recruiting an Accommodation Manager to join our team in a leading hotel. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness in guest bedrooms and public areas.
Responsibilities include:
* Providing guests with the highest levels of safety, comfort, and personal attention at all times.
* Working with colleagues to anticipate guests' needs and exceed expectations where possible.
* Staying up-to-date with daily business regarding room occupancy, special requirements, and VIP needs.
* Ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet daily business demands.
* Actively training staff to meet SOP standards and monitoring their work performance.
* Supporting the team in a hands-on capacity as required to maintain rooms and public areas to defined standards.
* Coordinating the ordering of linen, chemicals, and accommodation services supplies.
* Managing stock levels, storage, and returns procedures.
* Overseeing inventory, purchasing, and cost control for linen, cleaning supplies, and housekeeping-related machinery and equipment.
* Minimizing waste within the department by ensuring correct supply usage.
* Scheduling and supervising rotational and special cleaning programs as required.
* Monitoring and ensuring the standard of work is of the highest quality.
* Addressing maintenance issues in a timely fashion.
* Ensuring a high standard of service and attention to detail within the department.
* Ensuring employees are fully trained and certified in all statutory training.
* Delegating daily duties to colleagues and ensuring all work areas are covered.
* Supervising and checking rooms to ensure high standards are maintained at all times.
Requirements
* 3+ years of previous management experience in a similar large hotel property.
* Excellent communication, IT, organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
* Ability to cope well under pressure and support colleagues.
* Flexibility, adaptability, approachability, and ability to lead by example.
* Candidates must have current legal status to live and work in Ireland without restrictions.
