We're seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer who thrives in production environments and has hands-on experience keeping complex systems running smoothly.
This role goes far beyond initial deployments – you'll be responsible for the ongoing health, performance, and reliability of our production platforms.
What You'll Do
* Maintain and optimize production applications under real-world load and user traffic
* Manage database operations including performance tuning, backup strategies, failover procedures, and capacity planning
* Operate messaging systems with focus on throughput, reliability, and message delivery guarantees
* Administer NoSQL databases including monitoring, scaling, data consistency, and disaster recovery
* Troubleshoot production incidents and implement long-term solutions to prevent recurrence
* Monitor system health and proactively address performance bottlenecks before they impact users
* Implement robust backup and disaster recovery procedures that have been tested under real conditions
* Collaborate with development teams to ensure applications are production-ready and operationally sound
Required Experience
* 3+ years of hands-on production support for web applications or distributed systems
* Database administration experience with production databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar)
* Messaging system operations (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, or similar) in production environments
* NoSQL database management (MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB, or similar) including scaling and performance optimization
* Production incident response experience with demonstrated ability to troubleshoot under pressure
* Monitoring and alerting setup and management (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or similar)
* Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible) used for ongoing operations, not just initial setup
