About the Role
We are seeking a full-time Dementia Advisor to work hybrid under a permanent contract. The role involves acting as a key point of contact on an outreach basis for individuals concerned about cognitive health or living with a dementia diagnosis, as well as their families and friends.
As a Dementia Advisor, you will provide support throughout all stages of the dementia journey, from diagnosis through to end-of-life. This includes offering practical assistance, advice, emotional support, and accurate information.
The ideal candidate will have a primary degree in a relevant health or social care discipline and strong understanding of dementia and its impacts. Practical experience working with individuals with dementia is also essential.
The role requires strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, as well as a client-focused approach. A full, clean driving license is also necessary due to the travel involved in the role.
Responsibilities

Requirements
* Primary degree in a relevant health or social care discipline
* Strong understanding of dementia and its impacts

* Familiarity with the community care sector and commitment to professional development
* Awareness of legal frameworks related to vulnerable adults (e.g., Enduring Power of Attorney, Ward of Court, Assisted Decision-Making legislation)
* Full, clean driving license
