The role
A well-established and growing organisation operating across the Agri, animal health, and consumer horticulture sectors is seeking to appoint a Country Manager. This is a newly created, senior leadership role and will be central to the next phase of the company's growth and market expansion.
The business has a long-standing heritage and a strong reputation for quality, innovation, and customer focus. With operations across Ireland, the UK, and continental Europe, it is now investing further in its leadership capability to drive performance across key product categories.
Opportunity
Reporting directly to the CEO and forming part of the senior leadership team, the Country Manager will take full ownership of the commercial strategy and performance across the island of Ireland.
This is a high-impact role suited to a commercially driven leader who combines strong technical understanding with strategic thinking and execution capability.
Key Responsibilities
Define and deliver the strategic plan for the region, aligned with overall business objectives
Drive revenue growth, profitability, and market share across multiple product categories
Lead business development initiatives, identifying new customers, channels, and partnership opportunities
Build and maintain strong commercial relationships with key accounts and stakeholders
Collaborate closely with regional sales teams to ensure delivery of targets and strategic priorities
Develop and manage annual budgets, including revenue and gross margin targets
Work cross-functionally with marketing, technical, and innovation teams to bring new products to market
Contribute to the innovation pipeline by identifying opportunities aligned to customer needs and market trends
Provide technical and commercial support to customers, sales teams, and end users
Apply a data-driven, analytical approach to decision-making and business planning
Lead negotiations and manage commercial agreements effectively
Candidate Profile
Proven senior commercial experience within the agricultural and/or animal health sectors
Strong understanding of veterinary products (particularly parasite control) and/or crop and weed management
Demonstrated success in growing a business in a dynamic and competitive environment
Commercially astute with excellent negotiation and relationship management skills
Strategic thinker with the ability to execute and deliver measurable results
Confident communicator with strong presentation and analytical skills
Highly organised, self-motivated, and results-oriented
Degree-qualified in a relevant discipline
Eligible (or willing to become qualified) as a Professional Advisor (training provided if required)
