Role Description
The Research Administrator will support Aserve Investigators by conducting structured research, managing information, and providing high-quality administrative assistance. This role is ideal for a recent graduate with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and an interest in research, investigations, or intelligence-led work.
You will work closely with experienced investigators, gaining exposure to real-world research methodologies, data handling, and professional reporting standards. The successful candidate will also have an opportunity to gain experience in the service of legal proceedings and drafting of affidavits of service. You will also have an opportunity to assist with digital marketing and social media advertising to support Aserve Investigators.
Key Responsibilities:
Research & Information Support
* Conduct desktop research using open-source intelligence (OSINT), databases, and public records
* Collect, verify, and organise information from multiple sources
* Assist in background research and case preparation for investigations
* Maintain accurate research logs and source references
Administrative & Case Support
* Provide administrative support to investigators across multiple cases
* Assist with document preparation, formatting, and version control
* Maintain secure and well-organised digital and physical case files
* Track case progress and support internal reporting requirements
Data Handling & Compliance
* Handle sensitive and confidential information in line with company policies
* Support compliance with data protection and regulatory requirements
* Follow established research and documentation procedures
General Support
* Liaise professionally with internal team members and, where appropriate, external contacts
* Support ad hoc research or administrative tasks as required
* Digital marketing and social media advertising, where needed
Person Specification:
Essential Criteria
* 2+ years' office-based experience (recent graduates considered if highly skilled)
* Strong written communication skills with the ability to summarise complex information clearly
* Excellent attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
* Strong organisational and time-management skills
* Confidence using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) or equivalent
* Professional, discreet, and trustworthy approach to work
* Background in legal, banking, or insurance highly advantageous
Desirable Criteria
* Experience conducting academic or applied research
* Familiarity with online research techniques or OSINT principles
* Interest in investigations, intelligence, compliance, or risk analysis
* Experience handling confidential or sensitive information
* Knowledge of data protection principles (e.g. GDPR)
