We are currently recruiting for a Cook with catering experience to join our Event Warriot team based at the Ulster Museum Cafe, Belfast. This is a great opportunity to join a world leading facilities management company. Working Pattern: 30 hours per week Tuesday to Friday plus one of Saturday and Sunday, 8am to 2pm Rewards: 28 days' paid holidays (pro rata) Employee Assistance Program to support your health & wellbeing Company Pension Scheme Financial Education/Financial wellbeing advisory service Training & Development Uniform Provided Company Events The Role: As Cook you would help to keep the kitchen running smoothly by making sure everything is clean, tidy, safe and hygienic. When a kitchen is busy, equipment such as pots and pans will need to be cleaned quickly and be ready for chefs and cooks to use again. Receiving and putting into storage deliveries. Stock rotation and replenishment. Organising the storeroom Being aware of H&S in the workplace and use of HACCP system Thorough deep cleaning of kitchen as required including equipment and storage areas Complying with all company and legal procedures relating to food safety, hygiene, health & safety and personal requirements The Person: Attention to detail in all aspects of the work. Leads by example and lives our values. Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar leadership role within a culinary team. Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred. Workable knowledge of HACCP regulations Basic food hygiene certificate Enthusiastic and passionate about our customer service and reputation. Self-motivated, working independently and on own initiative. Flexible with a positive, can-do attitude. Basic statutory training for the role will require all candidates to have basic reading, writing, speaking and listening skills to assist in understanding safety and work instructions and communicating with customers on a day-to-day basis.
