Role Title: Clinical Nurse Manager II: Endoscopy Clinical Validation Job Reference Number:002120 Closing Date: Sunday, 22nd February 2026 Purpose of the Role: The purpose of this post is to provide clinical validation of endoscopy waiting lists, to ensure optimal and efficient use of endoscopy capacity at St James's Hospital.
The aim of the role is to avoid unnecessary procedures and to ensure patients are appropriately scheduled according to their clinical need.
The successful candidate will work with the multidisciplinary team within the Endoscopy Department to: Clinically validate referrals for endoscopy procedures working from the longest waiting patients Perform assessments of patients on the waiting list and in collaboration with the Endoscopy Consultant, confirm or re-establish clinical need and triage status Required: Registered General Nurse with The Nursing Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI), or eligible to register.5 years post-registration experience in an acute hospital setting or relevant clinical area within the last 7 years.
Demonstrate management experience throughout the last 2 years.
Experience in endoscopy.

Experience in teaching and assessing the nursing and HCA team throughout the last 2 years.
Desired: Management course.
Experience/knowledge of JAG accreditation.
Experience of designing and delivering education programmes.
