Job Description:
Evaluation of Credit risk for Accounts Receivable ledger for European OEM & Distributors, for new & existing customer database. Purpose: to minimize risk while maximizing revenue opportunities. Senior interaction with Accounts Receivable account owners, offering guidance and support on customer order release management.
On this position, you will:
* Perform daily credit and risk analysis for all new and existing OEM & Distributor customers to minimize risk exposure.
* Maintain the OEM database with ongoing updated credit reviews versus AR exposure and weekly monitoring.
* Maintain Customer Credit files with appropriate backup and authorizations.
* Manage order release for OEM & Distributor customers based on credit limit and customer account status.
* Conduct high-level, proactive collection activity with top-tier Distribution accounts.
* Complete the month-end close schedule per UK timetable, including batch closures, revaluation, and AR reconciliations to Trial Balance & Control Accounts.
* On a rotating basis, complete month-end reporting and analysis, including AR revenue, AR trend analysis, Distributor analysis, Cash Receipts analysis, and team KPI analysis.
* Provide Corporate with a quarterly Cash Receipts Forecast for European revenue.
* Engage with and provide auditors with all requested information related to European Credit & Collections for interim & annual audits.
Requirements/Qualifications:
* Minimum five years of experience in a Credit & Collection environment; experience in a multinational environment is an advantage.
* Credit Analysis or relevant Finance qualification is a distinct advantage.
* Good communication skills and IT skills, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
* Knowledge of BAAN or similar accounting reporting packages is an advantage, but training will be provided.
Specific requirements:
* Confident understanding and effective interpretation of financial statements to establish and revise OEM & Distributor customer credit limits. Approval threshold: $125K, with recommendations for limits exceeding $1m+
* Ability to work independently to proactively complete daily tasks.
* Awareness of the sense of urgency and ability to work at a fast pace.
* Methodical approach to prioritize and organize workload to meet deadlines, with strong attention to detail.
* Confidence in credit limit decisions up to the authorized threshold and recommendations above $1m+.
* React positively to change and improvements.
* Continuously seek process improvements within the role and department.
* Effective team interaction and contribution to the department.
* Ability to develop and manage internal and external relationships.
