Job Title: Compliance Officer Location: South Dublin Working Model: Hybrid (2 days per week in office) Abrivia are currently recruiting for a Compliance Officer to join our client's team based in South Dublin.
Reporting to the Head of Compliance, this role will support the delivery of compliance monitoring, guidance, and operational oversight across all business areas.
Your Role Conduct internal audits and gap analyses across business functions.
Monitor and report on breaches, errors, and complaints, working closely with the business to ensure effective remediation.
Manage Data Access Requests and assist with data protection-related queries.
Review and update company policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure compliance with applicable regulation.
Assist with the development and delivery of internal compliance and regulatory training.
Support insurer and internal audits as required.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements relevant to the insurance industry.
Ensure assigned tasks under the Compliance Plan are completed accurately and on time, including CPD checks, financial sanction checks, and reporting to insurers.
Provide guidance on key regulatory frameworks including the CPC, CICA, DMD, IDD, MCC, and GDPR.
Your Skills Minimum of 2 years' experience in Compliance, Data Protection, Audit, or a related function within the insurance industry in Ireland.
CIP or Data Protection qualification essential, with a strong preference for candidates who have completed or are working towards the Professional Diploma in Compliance.
Strong working knowledge of Irish insurance regulation and associated governance requirements.
Excellent organisational, analytical, and communication skills with a high level of attention to detail.
Ability to work both collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced environment.
