What You Will Do
As a Client Engineer focused on Core Tech and Platform Engineering, you’ll contribute to the ongoing evolution and stability of our Unity-based client. This role focuses on the systems, tooling, and infrastructure that support the game experience across devices and platforms.
You will work closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to improve performance, maintainability, and scalability across the client technology stack.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of shared client systems such as asset loading, UI systems, tooling, memory tracking, patching, and performance monitoring.
Help identify and resolve performance, stability, and scalability issues across the client.
Collaborate with Backend, DevOps, QA, and gameplay teams to improve workflows, integrations, and development processes.
Follow and contribute to coding standards, architectural patterns, and engineering best practices.
Support Unity upgrades and platform integrations across Android, iOS, and PC.
Assist in improving the modularity, reliability, and maintainability of the codebase.
Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and collaborative problem-solving.
What We're Looking For
3+ years of professional experience with Unity and C# development.
Experience working on game systems, shared frameworks, tools, or platform-related features.
Solid debugging and problem-solving skills, including investigating performance and memory-related issues.
Understanding of Unity systems such as AssetBundles, scene management, rendering, or lifecycle management.
Experience developing for mobile platforms (iOS/Android) and familiarity with profiling/debugging tools such as Unity Profiler, Android Profiler, or Xcode Instruments.
Familiarity with version control systems and CI/CD workflows such as Git, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across disciplines.
BSc degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
Bonus Points
Experience supporting Unity version upgrades or large-scale client migrations.
Exposure to performance optimisation and memory management techniques.
Familiarity with networking technologies such as WebSockets, Protobuf, or gRPC.
Experience with native plugins or platform-specific integrations.
Knowledge of LiveOps systems, telemetry, or experimentation frameworks.
Understanding of backend-client coordination and data synchronisation.
Exposure to mobile development challenges such as device fragmentation, app store requirements, or patching systems.
