Our client is a leading Main Mechanical Engineering Contractor working on large scale industrial buildings projects across Ireland and Europe.
They are renowned for delivering complex and high-value mechanical, HVAC, and piping solutions across a diverse range of sectors including Data Centres, Pharma, Commercial, Healthcare, and Industrial projects
Project loctions in Ireland include: Dublin, Cork, Limerick, Galway, Waterford and the Midlands.
Project loctions in Ireland include: Belgium,Sweden, Netherlands and the UK.
Roles in Europe are on a rotational basis and include
Accomodation, flights, car and tax free living allowance of €15k - €20k
Reviewing tender documents, specifications, and drawings to identify commercial risks and opportunities.
Preparing detailed cost estimates and pricing for mechanical services packages.
Assisting in the preparation and submission of competitive tenders.
Carrying out value engineering and cost-saving exercises.
Post-Contract & Project Management:
Managing project costs from inception to completion, including forecasting and reporting.
Preparing, submitting, and agreeing monthly valuations and payment applications.
Managing variations and changes to the scope of works, including pricing, negotiation, and agreement.
Preparing and agreeing final accounts with clients and subcontractors.
Procuring and managing sub-contract packages, including drafting contracts, negotiating terms, and managing payments.
Attending project meetings and providing commercial input.
Maintaining accurate and comprehensive commercial records.
Identifying and mitigating commercial risks throughout the project lifecycle.
Preparing regular cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and profit/loss statements.
Monitoring project budgets and identifying any deviations.
Ensuring compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
Relationship Management:
Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, main contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Collaborating effectively with the project management and engineering teams.
Requirements
Degree in Quantity Surveying
4+ years of professional experience with proven track record in dealing with Subcontractors and Clients in relation to Valuations, Variations, Final Accounts and cost reporting
Displays through understanding of specifications, bills of quantities, and drawings
Displays high capability of extracting quantities from drawings and issuing enquiries to sub- contractors and suppliers to ensure that accurate quotations are received within specified time frames
Computer literate in Microsoft Office and other Quantity Surveying Packages
Proven track record in Commercial / Industrial Projects
Demonstrates excellent budgetary responsibility
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to provide and explain accurate reporting.
Excellent organisation and time management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities at once.
Self-starter and ability to organise the workday around assigned activities and priorities with minimum supervision.
Must be highly flexible with a high level commitment to success.
Ability to work successfully as part of a team with wide variety of individuals demonstrating effective interpersonal skills
Package
Salary €50k - €100k based on experience and qualifications
Tax free living allowance of €15k - €20k
