Our client, an established public sector body is seeking a Tax Analyst to support its expanding tax function.

The Role
Reporting into senior finance leadership, the Tax Accountant will support all areas of taxation, with a particular focus on Irish corporation tax, VAT and property-related taxes (including stamp duty, LPT and RCT). The role involves close collaboration with internal finance, legal and development teams, as well as external tax advisors, to ensure ongoing compliance and tax efficiency across a growing portfolio of activities.
Responsibilities
Preparing and filing VAT, RCT and other tax returns accurately and on time
Providing tax support and guidance across multiple business functions
Supporting tax process improvements and automation initiatives
Assisting with audits and maintaining robust tax documentation
Partnering with Finance, Operations, IT and Development teams to strengthen compliance processes
Liaising with external advisors on tax compliance matters
The ideal candidate will have
CTA, ACA or ACCA qualification
2–4 years’ tax experience in practice or industry
Strong knowledge of Irish tax legislation, particularly VAT
Experience or exposure to real estate tax matters including RCT, stamp duty and capital allowances advantageous
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex tax matters clearly
Excellent Excel and tax/accounting systems proficiency
