We have a number of exciting opportunities for Health Care Assistants to work full time with a leading Healthcare Organisation in Ireland. You will be joining a team of highly trained Healthcare Personnel delivering quality and caring services into facilities / private homes.
* Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a healthcare, community, or social care setting, particularly in supporting individuals with mental health
* Certification: QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support or equivalent (preferred).
* MUST BE RESIDENT IN IRELAND with the legal right to work.
* Personal Care: Assist clients with personal hygiene, dressing, mobility, and other activities of daily living, in line with their care plan.
* Adhering to safe practice at all times
* Assisting service users to community activities of choice
* Provision of emotional support to increase the service users confidence and motivation
* Assist with the use of moving and handling equipment to promote independence and ensure safety of client
* Support with administering of medication as designate in the care and support plan in accordance with company's policies and procedures. This may include monitoring self-medication, prompting medication or administering medication.
* Assist service users with rehabilitation activities
* Monitor Service users general health and well beings using equipment provided. Respond and react as directed in the care and support plan to changes
* Facilitate and implement a person cantered service appropriate to the needs, wishes and requirements of service users
* Ensure that all interactions with service users are approached with dignity, respect, equality and choice.
* To work as part of a team
* To always maintain privacy of service user
* Infection Prevention and Control: Implement infection control measures in line with best practices to ensure client safety.
