Job Title: Tax Director
About the Role:
The company is seeking a seasoned Tax Director to lead their Tax Division in Dundalk, Ireland. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled professional to take on a leadership role and drive the division's growth and success.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the work of the Tax Division, planning and implementing strategies for growth, and developing the skills of the existing team. They will also work closely with the senior management team to identify business opportunities and develop plans to capitalize on them.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the work of the Tax Division, including planning, development, and implementation of tax strategies
* Develop and implement plans to grow the Tax Division, including identifying new business opportunities and developing strategies to capitalize on them
* Lead and manage a team of tax professionals, providing guidance, support, and training to help them develop their skills and achieve their career goals
* Work closely with the senior management team to identify business opportunities and develop plans to capitalize on them
* Represent the company at networking events and national and international forums
Requirements:
* Candidate must have a CTA or AITI qualification and/or a recognized accountancy body qualification
* Minimum 10+ years of tax experience in an accountancy firm, with at least 5 years in a senior management capacity
* Technical excellence in corporate tax planning and advisory work, as well as VAT, CAT, R&D, and compliance (both corporate and personal)
* Demonstrable business development and client relationship skills
* Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
