This is a senior-level role responsible for managing project costs, supporting commercial strategy, and ensuring electrical projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with all regulatory requirements.The successful candidate will work closely with clients, contractors, and senior management, while also mentoring junior commercial staff.Key Responsibilities:Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports for electrical construction projectsPrepare tender documentation and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractorsEvaluate bids where requiredManage contracts, including payment applications and resolution of contractual issuesIdentify and mitigate cost risks throughout the project lifecycleIdentify opportunities to optimise project costs without compromising quality or functionalityProvide commercial and cost advice to senior management and Contracts ManagersEnsure compliance with building regulations, health & safety standards, and legal requirementsManage live project forecasts and track budgets from project inception to completionMonitor and report on project costs, progress, and budget/schedule variancesOversee and support Junior Quantity Surveyors, including regular 1-to-1 meetingsQualifications: A third level qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction relatedChartered status or working towards chartership is desirableTake the next step in your career and apply in confidence with your CV today.
