Ryanair Labs is currently recruiting for a Data Scientist to join Europe’s Largest Airline Group!
Ryanair Labs is the technology brand of Ryanair. It is a state-of-the-art digital & IT innovation hub creating Europe’s leading travel experience for our customers.
The role is within the BI team at Ryanair Labs, comprising over 95 professionals across Dublin, Madrid, and Wroclaw. The team includes Data Analysts, Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Optimization Engineers, Data Modellers, BI Analysts, BI Reporters, and BI Developers.
The Role
* Lead the design, development, and implementation of advanced pricing models and algorithms to optimize pricing strategies for ancillary products.
* Apply sophisticated statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms to analyze historical data, forecast demand, and identify pricing opportunities.
* Analyze pricing performance metrics such as revenue impact, price elasticity, and customer segmentation to evaluate and improve pricing strategies.
* Mentor team members and collaborate across departments, sharing best practices in analytics and data visualization.
Requirements
* Degree in Data Science or related field; Masters or PhD preferred.
* At least 3 years of professional experience in Data Science roles.
* Commercial awareness and experience working in a commercial environment, especially in product pricing, are essential.
* Self-motivated with initiative and diligence; capable of generating ideas and taking ownership of projects.
* Strong communication skills, with experience presenting to diverse teams across multiple locations.
Tech Requirements
* Proficiency in Python is essential.
* Fluent SQL skills for data extraction from Data Warehouses.
* Experience building and deploying predictive models, with knowledge of clustering, forecasting, classification, and anomaly detection.
* Extensive experience with Excel.
* Ability to create clear, compelling slide decks to communicate analysis findings effectively.
