We are seeking a seasoned Quantity Surveyor to join our team. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with quality management systems and environmental & safety management systems.

Key Responsibilities:
">
">
* Preparation of interim and final accounts for projects in accordance with contract requirements;
">
* Reconciliation of contract documents versus tender documents received;
">
* Maintaining project variation folders to include all variations details, preparing and maintaining variation logs;
">
* Monitoring project requirements in terms of variation notifications;
">
* Preparing subcontractor and supplier enquiry packages from contract documents;
">
* Reviewing and reconciling bills of quantities versus other design documents;
">
* Analysing subcontractor and supplier quotes received for compliance with contract documents;
">
* Negotiating subcontract and supplier prices and terms;
">
* Appointing project subcontractors including assembling all contract documents, schedules of rates etc.;
">
* Issuing subcontractor insurances for approval prior to award of contract;
">
* Issuing completed eRCT forms to internal accounts prior to subcontractor commencement on site;
">
* Preparing internal subcontractor payment certificates;
">
* Negotiating subcontractors and suppliers' final accounts;
">
* Monitoring site subcontractor files so that project teams are aware of subcontractor package scope;
">
* Assisting the preparation of bills of quantities and pricing of bills of quantities where necessary on tenders;
">
* Filing all project records in accordance with the project filing matrix requirements;
">
* Liaising and co-ordination with kilcawley project teams where necessary;
">
* Carrying out site visits and attending project meetings;
">
* Preparing reports sections for contractor reports;
">
* Preparing internal project cost reports/project trackers;
">
* Reviewing and monitoring project commercial plans;
">
* Advising surveyors/estimators internally of competitive suppliers and subcontractors where they arise;
">
* Completing and maintaining relevant project paperwork;
">
* Issuing project valuations (KC), PQS recommendations and architects' certificates internally for accounts and cash flow purposes;
">
* Monitoring and tracking project retentions post completion;
">
* Liaising with purchasing departments in relation to the preparation of material procurement schedules, specification compliance and the review of requisitions from site;
">
* Preparing subcontractor and supplier reports outlining works completed and remaining liabilities for issue to company accountants;
">
">
Requirements
">
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:
">
">
* A professional qualification in quantity surveying/commercial management;
">
* 10+ years' experience in a senior quantity surveyor role on construction projects;
">
* Ability to work on large-scale, high-headcount construction sites & subcontractors essential;
">
* Liaising with contracts managers and managing quantity surveyors when dealing with internal stakeholders and client representatives while on site, including attendance at meetings;
">
* Strong time management skills;
">
* Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation and IT skills;
">
* Strong understanding of the construction industry and working on site;
">
* Ability to use time productively, maximise efficiency and meet challenging work goals;
">
* Experience working on a variety of building contracts is advantageous but not essential;
">
* Excellent negotiation and commercial judgement skills;
">
