You will alsoliaisewith logistics and customer service, support NPI andleaninitiatives, and maintain/report metrics.Communication:Collaborate withotherdepartments and managers toresolveproblems, including Customer Service and Logistics.- Maintainregularcommunication with vendors to ensureflawlessoperations.- Supportinternalandexternalcustomers and team members regarding issues, advancing them asappropriate.- Provideproactiveandinformativefeedback on supply chain interruptions or situations that affect customer support and satisfaction.- Continually work toimprovequality, delivery, and costs through programs that enhance theoverallquality of vendors by clearly defining requirements.- Reviewopenrequirements,monitorvendor performance, and expedite wherenecessary.- Assure that problems relating to delivery and quality are promptly conveyed to the vendor andresolvedin atimelymanner.- Purchase materials fromexternalandinternalsuppliers, ensuring supply is not interrupted.Management:Analyze and adjust inventory levels to align withleadtime changes.- Monitordailyorder activity and takeappropriateaction to ensure supply commitments are met. Update supplier forecasts (internalandexternal) in SAP.- Verify orders and communicate requirements to suppliers. Undertakedailyreconciliation of receipts with suppliers and ensuretimelyresolutionof all receiving discrepancies.- Mentoranddevelopindividuals inthematerialsarea.In line withcorporateandglobalops objectives,develop,set, andmonitorAWP's.- Follow all processes and procedures in thecorporate"Quality Management System" and use the system's tools tomanagevendors,non-conformingmaterial, receiving inspection plans, and purchasing. Also,completeotherassigned duties or projects.Person SpecificationTheidealcandidate should have3-5yearsofexperiencein asimilarrole.Stronganalyticalskills,excellentnegotiationandcommunicationskills,and confidence in dealing with colleagues at all levels andexternalsuppliersareessential.The role requirestheabilitytomanagemultipleconcurrentpriorities.
