The role will be integral to ensuring accurate layout, measurement, and alignment for a major 18-month residential project.Note: Applications from candidates without residential experience will not be considered.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare, review, and execute setting out drawings in line with architectural and structural designs.Conduct precise site surveys and establish reference points for construction works.Work closely with site managers, project engineers, and subcontractors to ensure layouts are accurate.Monitor and verify levels, alignments, and coordinates throughout the construction process.Identify and resolve any discrepancies between design drawings and site conditions.Maintain detailed records of measurements, surveys, and setting out checks.Ensure compliance with health and safety standards on site.RequirementsMinimum 5 years' experience as a Setting Out Engineer on residential construction projects.Strong knowledge of survey instruments, total stations, GPS equipment, and digital setting out methods.Competent in interpreting architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.Excellent attention to detail and mathematical skills.Ability to work independently on-site and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.Full driving license is preferable.Contract Details & BenefitsDuration: 18 months, on-site at Cherrywood.Competitive salary based on experience.Opportunity to work on a high-profile residential development.Supportive project team with clear career development pathways.
