A panel may be created for the post of Information, Communications and Technology Manager, from which permanent and specified purpose vacancies of full or part-time duration may be filled.
Purpose of the Post
To manage and deliver efficient and effective ICT services, applications, integrations, infrastructure, reporting, and analytics for Portiuncula University Hospital. The post holder will work in close collaboration with the ICT teams in the Galway Roscommon Integrated Healthcare Area, IT managers across the region, and the Regional Director of Technology & Transformation. The post also involves working with HSE Technology and Transformation for shared services, including device, network, and server management.
The ICT Manager at PUH is responsible for 24/7 operations and support of critical IT systems and infrastructure supporting healthcare services. The successful candidate will provide leadership and direction to support ICT service delivery, ensuring PUH maximizes digital transformation opportunities and has access to necessary ICT capabilities to serve the community effectively. They will work with senior management to develop a roadmap supporting care transformation through digital capabilities.
