Senior Consultant | Semiconductor, Software Engineering, Blockchain/Web3
We are currently partnered with an industry leading multination semiconductor company looking to expand their headcount at their leading EU offices with an FPGA Emulation Engineer to contribute to groundbreaking projects in CPU, DSP, multimedia, IO peripherals, and graphics processing.
This is a permanent working opportunity based in Cork, Ireland.
Key responsibilities for this FPGA Emulation Engineer position:
* Develop and support emulation platforms like FPGA prototyping, Veloce, and Palladium.
* Work on system debug, waveform generation, and content debug support.
* Re-target ASIC designs to FPGA platforms and validate large-scale designs across multiple FPGAs.
* Tackle low-level software and hardware issues using tools such as JTAG and kernel debuggers.
* Collaborate on pre-silicon enabling and system bring-up activities.
Key requirements:
* 5+ years in ASIC design, verification, or emulation.
* Proficiency in SystemVerilog, Verilog, and/or VHDL.
* Hands-on experience with emulation tools, partitioning, and validation methodologies.
* Proficient in low-level software and hardware debugging.
* Strong scripting abilities (Python, TCL) and programming in C.
* Deep understanding of CPU and SoC architectures, power, and performance fundamentals.
* Familiarity with large-scale design partitioning and FPGA development tools.
* Experience in debugging tools and methodologies to address complex system challenges.
