Job Title: Senior Legal Counsel for Channel Partner Business.
Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join their Global Legal Team. This role will provide legal and compliance support to their UK, Ireland, and EMEA operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for advising on the legal and regulatory requirements related to the distribution of products and services through partners and channels, as well as preparing, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and terms and conditions.
About You:
We are looking for an experienced lawyer with a Master/Bachelor of Laws degree or equivalent and at least 8 years' relevant PQE in commercial law. Your expertise should include legal issues relating to the distribution and channel partner business, including antitrust and competition law. Fluency in English (written and verbal) is essential, as well as great technological skills. We require someone who is confident, has fantastic interpersonal skills, and is commercially minded. You should also be able to work effectively in teams, manage large volumes of work independently, and have flexible working arrangements. Regular travel within the UKI zone and occasional travel to other locations in Europe may be required.
Responsibilities:
This role involves delivering legal, regulatory, and compliance services related to the distribution of products and services through our client's partners and channels. As a key business partner, you will provide strategic support and advice on a wide range of commercial and compliance matters. Your responsibilities will include:
- Advising on the legal & regulatory requirements relating to the client's distribution and channel partner portfolio of documents across the UK, Ireland, and EMEA.
- Providing distribution and channel antitrust and competition regulatory advice.
- Preparing, reviewing, and supporting negotiations of distribution and channel contracts and terms and conditions.
- Proactively identifying, defining, and mitigating risks by contributing to and implementing policies and procedures.
- Ensuring compliance with applicable laws and Group policies.
- Providing training and facilitating compliance programs.
