The Role
This role offers an exciting opportunity to join our development team, who form part of a wider group of professionals. Our departments collaborate closely to deliver residential and regeneration projects across the country.
This role is embedded into a development pod, responsible for managing large-scale affordable housing projects and driving them forward across the full lifecycle of development.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to build on their prior industry experience, developing the skills and expertise required to lead delivery of large-scale affordable housing projects.
The development manager plays a key function in the team pod, responsible for managing day-to-day elements of their projects and supporting junior team members in pursuing their own learning and development opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage developments at various stages of the development lifecycle from early concept through to delivery and handover.
2. Support the undertaking of initial site feasibility studies, identifying development opportunities and constraints.
3. Contribute to the development and implementation of development strategies and investment cases.
4. Prepare development briefs including project scope and deliverables, programme, and design team scopes of services.
5. Coordinate and liaise across all development functions, seeking inputs from both internal and external project teams and stakeholders.
6. Manage the appointment of design teams and other professional service providers.
7. Engage with project stakeholders and build relationships.
8. Proactively manage design teams and other professional service providers.
9. Work with the wider team for effective delivery of project work streams.
10. Administration and management of project documentation.
