We have an opportunity for a Compliance Specialist - Risk and Control for our Waterford location.
Role Purpose
The role's primary objective is to protect the company's resources by achieving full compliance with all standard operating procedures, HACCP, H&S, and other external/legal compliance requirements.
This involves:
* Ensuring SOP compliance, stock integrity, preventive waste management, QA, H&S, training, wholesale excellence, audits, and EPOS on site.
Key Responsibilities
The key responsibilities include:
* Leading the Branch team to consistently achieve Wholesale Excellence standards by ensuring the site is fully compliant with both internal and external compliance requirements.
* Designing and implementing audit processes to ensure full compliance across the site.
* Preparing, coordinating, and executing audits across the site on an agreed frequency.
* Reporting issues arising during audit work with a full corrective action plan in place.
* Driving the implementation of specific control improvements required to achieve full compliance.
* Reviewing, monitoring, and reporting results of quarterly self-certification checklists versus audit results.
* Serving as the site business expert on standard operating controls.
* Promoting good corporate governance and internal control practices across the site.
* Acting as the point of contact for both external and internal auditors regarding operational procedures.
* Working with the site to simplify business processes, reducing costs, and improving performance.
* Ensuring all colleagues are fully trained in all areas of compliance and accurate, up-to-date records are maintained.
* Ensuring the site is legally compliant in all areas of food safety.
* Managing, coordinating, and implementing the safety health & welfare management system and associated processes within the site to ensure compliance with all current Health & Safety legislative requirements.
* Fully managing stock integrity through cyclical counting & stocktakes.
* Implementing proactive waste management prevention.
