Job Title: Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor
Your new role as a Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor is to effectively manage all costs and value for the project, working closely with team members to procure subcontract packages and critical elements of the work. Your responsibilities include:
* Budgeting and reporting with skilled proficiency.
* Excellent communication skills to undertake and manage interim commercial meetings with the Client and Internal Project Team.
* Managing subcontractor accounts, interim valuations and final accounts, ensuring timely payment certificates are processed and payments made per agreed terms.
* Administering contract obligations and meeting additional client requirements by issuing interim and final accounts and progress applications as required.
* Identifying potential commercial risks and promptly reporting them to Senior Management.
* Collaborating closely with the Planning Engineer regarding accuracy of progress reporting.
* Costing and agreeing daily work changes, including managing subcontractor remeasurement of contract works, site dayworks and site change orders.
* Maintaining accurate records and providing detailed backup to support commercial tracking and costing.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* 3rd level Qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
* A minimum of 3 years of experience in Quantity surveying / Mechanical & Electrical Engineering.
* Proficiency in Excel and knowledge of commercial management and Quantity Surveyor role within construction.
* Detailed understanding of contract conditions and their applications, as well as business, client and subcontractor relations, and M&E installation.
* A positive 'can-do' approach, determined to succeed, generating a sense of energy and urgency, and excellent working relationships.
You will be paid at a competitive hourly rate between €30 to €40 per hour, paid for 40 hours per week, and overtime hours worked. This comes out to approximately 60k to 80k when converted to an annual salary. This opportunity is open to PAYE and self-employed workers.
