Excel Recruitment is seeking a motivated and compassionate Physiotherapist to join a highly regarded team at an Older Persons Rehabilitation Hospital in Limerick. This is a 0.5 WTE (17.5 hours per week) agency contract for an initial duration of 3 months, with the potential for extension.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Staff Grade Physiotherapist, you will play a vital role in the rehabilitation process for older adults, focusing on restoring movement, function, and independence.
1. Conduct comprehensive Physiotherapy assessments and implement individualized treatment plans focusing on mobility, strength, and falls prevention.
2. Deliver evidence-based interventions in both individual and group settings to address physical and functional needs.
3. Collaborate closely with the Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) regarding patient progress, goal setting, and treatment reviews.
4. Support discharge planning by providing mobility aid recommendations and caregiver education to ensure a safe transition home.
5. Maintain accurate, timely, and professional clinical documentation in accordance with CORU and professional standards.
6. Promote active aging and provide education to patients and families on safety and rehabilitation strategies.
Eligibility Criteria:
7. Degree in Physiotherapy.
8. Full CORU Registration (Physiotherapists Registration Board).
9. While experience in elderly care or rehabilitation is desirable, we welcome applications from enthusiastic new graduates.
10. Strong clinical reasoning, excellent communication, and a proactive, team-oriented attitude.
11. HSE mandatory training (or willingness to complete prior to commencement).
