Job Description:
The Citi Europe Governance and Analyst Lead drives excellence in Governance and consistency of approach in respect of the Governance Committees for Citi Europe legal Entities and certain Citi Europe Committees.
We are open to considering candidates with a paralegal, analyst or more general governance background who have demonstrable experience in corporate governance. This role is an extremely good way of gaining exposure to key stakeholders and an understanding of business decision making. This opportunity will provide unique insights into Citi during a time of growth in Europe.
This role will report directly to the Strategy and Governance Lead within the Europe Chief Operating Office.
The Governance and Analyst Lead will work in a small team who will be responsible for all Secretarial Duties and governance to several Management Committees across Citi Europe.
The team will be required to work with the Chairs of each of Citi Europe’s Management Committee to:
* Lead initiatives that are cross governance including assessing the committee’s effectiveness and ongoing compliance with internal policies and regulatory expectations
* Establish Forward Calendars, and meeting planning processes and procedures
* Ability to understand interdependencies and aligning cross functional priorities in a complex, large-scale organizational environment
* Set agendas through analysis of Board objectives and key priority activities throughout Citi Europe
* Co-ordinate, arrange and attend Committee meetings
* Drafting minutes fit for regulatory consumption and facilitate reviews by the Chair and Committee members
* Post meeting actions, including, Circulation of Actions etc.
* Review, analyse and challenge papers prior to distribution
* Managing the Committees performance, self-assessment & skills evaluations
* Arranging new Committee members induction process
* Provision of documentation to Internal and External Auditors and Regulators
* Managing meeting dates and calendars
* All other Management Committee Administrative Duties as appropriate
* The Governance and Analyst Lead will partner with the existing Board Secretaries to ensure consistence of governance between the Board and Executive Committees.
Key personal attributes
* Good minute taking and note taking skills are essential
* Works well as part of a multi-jurisdictional team and ability to travel to Dublin as required;
* Ability to prioritise and manage high volume workload
* Works well under pressure
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Proven strategic thinking and analytic skills coupled with financial acumen.
* "No surprises” approach in communicating issues
Qualifications
* Fluency in English language required
* Graduate or Associate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators preferred
* Graduate in Law, Governance, Compliance or Business preferred
* Understanding/experience in Financial Services would be advantageous
