Are you an experienced Workshop Manager with a strong background in MEWP (Mobile Elevating Work Platforms)-including scissor lifts and boom lifts? Our client, a leading construction hire company in Rathcoole, is seeking a highly skilled and organised manager to lead their workshop operations and ensure all fleet and equipment are maintained to the highest standards.
The Role
As Workshop Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of a busy construction hire workshop, ensuring efficient workflow, high-quality maintenance, and exceptional service delivery. You'll manage a team of technicians, coordinate repairs, and uphold safety and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and coordinate all workshop activities, ensuring smooth and efficient operations
Oversee servicing, diagnostics, and repairs of MEWPs including scissor lifts, boom lifts, and other powered access equipment
Ensure all equipment meets safety, compliance, and operational standards
Lead, support, and develop a team of workshop technicians
Plan workloads, prioritise breakdowns, and ensure timely turnaround of equipment
Maintain workshop safety, cleanliness, and regulatory compliance
Liaise with management, suppliers, and customers regarding repairs, timelines, and technical issues
Maintain records, service sheets, and documentation to company standards
About You
What We're Looking For
Proven experience in a workshop supervisory or managerial position
Strong technical knowledge of MEWPs, especially scissor and boom lifts
Background in construction hire, plant hire, powered access, or related industries
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
Ability to manage workflow, prioritise tasks, and support a team effectively
Strong commitment to safety, compliance, and high service standards
