Receptionist – Full-Time (Permanent)
We are currently seeking a friendly, professional, and enthusiastic Receptionist to join our busy front office team.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a customer-focused team in a fast-paced hotel environment, where guest satisfaction is our top priority.
The Role:
As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our guests and play a key role in creating a welcoming and positive experience.
You will be responsible for managing front desk operations efficiently and ensuring excellent standards of hospitality at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet guests warmly and professionally on arrival, ensuring a smooth and efficient check-in process
Assist departing guests with check-out, processing payments through the hotel's accounting system
Handle guest enquiries in person, by phone, and via email in a courteous and professional manner
Manage reservation requests and general switchboard duties
Deliver exceptional service to guests, anticipating their needs and exceeding expectations
Ensure the front desk and reception area are well-organised and maintained at all times
Liaise with other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience
Carry out administrative tasks as required by the Reception Manager
The Ideal Candidate:
Previous front office or customer-facing experience in the hotel, leisure, or retail sector
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Friendly, calm, and professional demeanour with a strong focus on guest service
Fully computer literate; working knowledge of Mews (PMS) is a distinct advantage
Immaculate personal presentation and attention to detail
Ability to multitask, remain organised under pressure, and work efficiently in a busy environment
Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
