We're looking for a Plumbing/ Mechanical Engineer to join our Estates team based at The Lister Hospital. This role is vital in ensuring a first class building maintenance service within the hospital and satellite sites, covering reactive, project and scheduled maintenance work.

What You'll Do
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) and daily plant checks, ensuring all equipment is safe, operational and well maintained.
Maintain and service mechanical and electrical systems such as AHUs, AC systems, emergency lighting, fire alarms and generators.
Perform small-scale installation works where required.
Always maintain a safe working environment, adhering to HCA Healthcare policies and procedures.
Complete water hygiene control tasks (flushing, temperature monitoring) in line with the Water Risk Assessment, ensuring accurate record keeping.
Manage on-site contractors, reviewing RAMs and issuing permits to work.
Respond promptly to tasks logged on the CAFM system (Engineering Central), prioritising workload effectively.
Provide rapid response to emergency and reactive maintenance requests.
Assist with Estates projects and improvement works as needed.
Participate in the on-call rota (1 in 5).
Ensure plant areas remain clean, tidy and safe.
What You'll Bring
Qualified in relevant discipline e.g. City & Guilds or NVQ mechanical, or an engineering building services qualification
2 years' experience, ideally with a Healthcare background
Strong understanding of BMS systems
Good knowledge of water hygiene and Legionella management
Working knowledge of Health & Safety and Fire Safety regulations
Excellent customer care and communication skills
IT literate
