Role: Mechanical Site Fitter
Location: Mallow, County Cork, Ireland (covering projects throughout Munster)

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in the water and wastewater industry.
Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter/Fabricator or Maintenance Mechanical Fitter.
Experience in the mechanical installation of equipment, systems and pipework (including Stainless Steel, PVC, PE, and Ductile Iron).
Good working knowledge of mechanical systems including strip-down repair and re‑building.
Interest in developing a career within an industry‑leading organisation.
Ability to work as part of a team in project delivery and provide input at team meetings.
Ability to engage with suppliers and sub‑contractors at procurement stage and during contract delivery.
Ability to use own initiative, problem‑solve and adapt as issues arise during project delivery.
Strong communication skills and a high level of motivation.
Knowledge of Manual Handling, Safe Pass, Confined Spaces, working from heights, and abrasive wheel use.
Full driving licence.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Work as part of a team in the delivery of one or more projects at any time, embracing a "one team" culture.
Ensure Health, Safety and Environmental standards, policies and procedures are always adhered to.
Review design‑stage mechanical drawings and P&ID to validate designs and spot issues early.
Site installation of mechanical systems, pipework and equipment, including supporting brackets and stands.
Modify, fabricate and install mechanical systems.
Complete system testing through pipework pressure tests and completion of inspection test records (ITRs).
Maintain and repair existing water/wastewater treatment equipment, including strip‑down, part replacement and re‑building.
Troubleshoot equipment and instrumentation, and repair as necessary to ensure good working order.
Conduct periodic inspections and preventive maintenance on system installations.
Organise and facilitate plant shutdowns or flow diversion with the project delivery team and customer under permit‑to‑work systems.
Ensure all works meet company and mechanical standards.
Complete Health & Safety checks and permits as required for work activities.
Provide a positive experience for customers, promoting professionalism, collaboration and cooperation.
Suggest improvements to the mechanical installation process through lessons learned and innovative solutions.
Keep current with the latest standards and technology through continuous professional development (CPD).
Show eagerness to learn and advance career, including mentoring junior staff.
Other duties as required from time to time.
