EIB Trainee - Information Systems Directorate - Analytics & Reporting Solutions Unit - based in Luxembourg
Apply for the European Investment Bank (EIB) EIB Trainee role in the Information Systems Directorate, Analytics & Reporting Solutions Unit, based in Luxembourg.
This position is based at the EIB's Luxembourg headquarters and requires regular office presence.
Duration: 5 months (fixed start date: 1st March/April 2026). (Possible extension up to 6 months if required by University).
Eligibility: Only applications from nationals of the Member States of the European Union, as well as citizens of candidate countries (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Turkey, Ukraine). Candidates whose Erasmus+ programme overlaps with the traineeship will not be considered. Limit applications to a maximum of three traineeship publications; only the first three will be considered.
Objective: You will support the team to accelerate the adoption of Power BI as a target self-service reporting solution, aligning with the roll-out of the new Data Platform (Fabric) and Citizen Development. Ensure Data Governance Office practices and guidelines are followed by dashboard owners.
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include support and assistance in the following areas:
* Safeguarding sensitive data and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
* Streamlining dashboard development and maintenance processes.
* Clarifying roles to promote disciplined data management.
* Promoting sustainable and coherent dashboard and query processes.
* Identifying and mitigating risks associated with Power BI management.
Academic Qualifications And Professional Skills
* Final year of studies or University degree in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, IT or equivalent.
* Understanding of the EIB’s mission and operational framework will be an advantage.
* Understanding databases and relevant platforms will be an advantage.
* Strong communication skills to effectively engage with team members and stakeholders.
* Ability to quickly learn new IT tools will be an advantage.
* Familiarity with SharePoint and Azure software will be a distinctive advantage.
* Excellent knowledge of standard Microsoft Office tools.
* Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English. Knowledge of other EU language would be an advantage.
