Job Summary
This role reports to the Utilities Supervisor with a dotted line reporting to the project manager(s) and is responsible for executing and managing planned and unplanned works using available resources.
The primary focus is on providing technical support for the Site’s Capital Project portfolio, including:
* Equipment Maintenance: executing permits, reviewing Method Statements, LOTOs, Set To Works, MC walks, Panel testing & certification, Board Energisation under the Capital Project portfolio.
* Participating in FATs, SATs, and CQV activities.
* Ensuring work is completed safely and in compliance with procedures, including handover forms, LOTO, barriers, and signage.
* Coordinating and managing contractors safely and efficiently, challenging under-performing contractors or project elements.
* Coordinating small teams of technicians or vendors/contractors.
* Being a member of the Site Emergency Response Team (ERT).
* Attending business-critical meetings, project meetings, RCA’s.
* Maintaining schedule attainment while communicating issues and expectations effectively.
* Interacting with onsite IS & Automation systems such as Maximo, BMS & PCS, Onelook Permitting System, Drawing Management, PME power quality monitoring, and other systems.
* Ensuring planned training for new equipment is delivered to the technician team.
* Recommending and implementing improvements to enhance mechanical or electrical maintenance aspects.
Documentation
* Producing compliant documentation as per SOPs and job requirements.
* Providing equipment updates, including problems, completed works, and planned activities to management and engineering.
* Assisting in creating training content and delivering training.
* Contributing to SOPs, job plans, JHAs, and Maximo system implementation.
Experience, Qualifications, and Key Competencies
* Minimum qualification: Time served craft electrician.
* Relevant experience in the portfolio project area(s) and biopharma installations is advantageous.
* Experience with UPS systems, Diesel Generators, 10 KV switching is beneficial.
* Proven track record of meeting targets and compliance standards.
* Ability to remain calm under pressure, strong problem-solving skills, and a logical mindset.
* Continuous improvement mindset, self-starter, passionate about success.
* Ability to troubleshoot complex issues, prioritize tasks, and manage training rollout.
* Effective supervision, collaboration with contractors, and communication with project, technical, and management staff.
