Site Engineer Large Residential Scheme (Dublin 24) Salary: €70,000€80,000 DOE Contract: Permanent A growing residential developer delivering RC Frame Double Basement Apartment Block in Tallaght is expanding its engineering team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys precision, problem-solving, and being closely involved in the build process. About the Role Working alongside the Project Manager and site leadership team, you will play a key part in ensuring the project progresses safely, accurately, and in line with programme. The role involves extensive setting-out, monitoring quality on site, and liaising with subcontractors and design teams to keep information flowing. What Youll Be Doing Carrying out all setting-out activities for groundworks, concrete structures, drainage, utilities, and structural elements using GPS, robotic total station, and levelling equipment, supported by a Junior Engineer who assists with surveys, QA records, and day-to-day layout tasks. Keeping detailed records including surveys, QA documentation, as-built information, and daily reports. Preparing and issuing setting-out data to support upcoming works and sequencing. Working closely with the Project Manager, foremen, and subcontractors to ensure works align with drawings and tolerances Reviewing technical drawings, identifying issues early, and assisting with design queries. Monitoring workmanship and compliance with Irish building regulations and project specifications. Supporting site safety procedures, particularly around excavations, temporary works, and structural operations. Coordinating with suppliers, consultants, and design teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and information. What You Bring 25+ years experience as a Site Engineer on residential or commercial builds. Strong setting-out background, ideally with exposure to RC frame and structural works. Proficiency with GPS, robotic total station, and surveying software. Ability to interpret drawings and technical documentation confidently. Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills. A proactive approach to supporting programme and site progress. Full eligibility to work in Ireland.
