Our Data Science and Analytics Team are looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join the team and drive high impact analytics initiatives with the business. Reporting to the Data Analytics Manager, the main responsibilities of the role will include:
* Provide a strong data-driven voice across the business, championing analytics and AI as a catalyst for innovation, insight and value creation.
* Perform deep-dive analyses, including causal inference, pre-post analysis, sensitivity analysis, revenue projections, and ad-hoc queries.
* Drive high-impact analytics initiatives across customer behaviour, segmentation, loyalty, marketing, media, online, and trading domains.
* Translate complex analytical findings into clear, compelling narratives that influence senior stakeholders and shape strategic decisions.
* Build intuitive dashboards and robust data models that transform raw data into compelling business stories and performance metrics.
* Inspire and develop a high-performing group of junior data scientists, fostering analytical excellence and strong stakeholder engagement.
The successful candidate will have / be:
* Min of 5 years’ experience in a similar role
* Strong experience analysing large, complex data sets and translating insights into actionable business solutions.
* Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages such as Python or R, with a deep understanding of both structured and unstructured data.
* Solid background in business intelligence and data analysis with a focus on driving impactful results.
* Familiarity with using Jupiter Notebooks or similar tools to perform data analysis and create visualisations.
* The ability to turn commercial data into valuable insights to support key business decisions and optimise processes.
* Experience with reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau to create clear, informative dashboards.
* A good grasp of fundamental statistics (e.g., regression, correlation, hypothesis testing, statistical inference) to draw actionable conclusions from data.
* Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams, cultures, and geographies.
* Comfort working in dynamic, fast-paced environments, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, matrixed setting.
* Strong communication and presentation skills, with a results-oriented mindset and a commitment to diverse, inclusive teamwork.
* A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Work location is flexible in the republic of Ireland. We have offices in Cork and Dublin. Work Smart hybrid work arrangement applies for this role. Some travel to Cork will be required.
