Job Title: Events & Marketing Executive (Full-time, Office Based)
Overview
DublinTown is the city's Business Improvement District (BID), a collective of 2,500 businesses in Dublin city centre. We promote Dublin city centre on behalf of businesses to drive footfall and improve the trading environment. We are the creators of award‑winning www.DublinTown.ie and associated social media accounts, organise the Christmas lights around the city, and have delivered events and festivals such as the Dublin By Night Festival and more.
About the Role
DublinTown is seeking a dynamic Events & Marketing Executive who lives and breathes events organisation. We want someone with the energy and passion of an event organiser – who naturally understands what makes a successful event and can bring fresh, engaging ideas to promote Dublin's vibrant city centre.
Reporting Line: Reports to the Head of Marketing.
Key Responsibilities
Event Planning & Delivery – Pre and post‑event management: developing proposals and campaigns, licensing, funding, planning and execution.
Member & Stakeholder Management within Events – Serving as the main point of contact, managing relationships from initial query to post‑event feedback.
Budget – Developing and monitoring event budgets in collaboration with the Head of Marketing.
Supplier & Operations Management – Coordinating venue, vendors, suppliers, external event teams, security etc. to manage logistics, catering, and audio‑visual needs.
Marketing & Advertising – Working with external advertising agencies to promote events.
Social Media – Supporting the Social Media Executive in content creation.
Graphic Design – Using basic Canva skills for event proposals and reports, and any other invites or graphics needed.
Reporting – Creating post‑event feedback reports and analysing data.
Member Relationships – Actively engaging with our community and collaborating with DublinTown member businesses.
Website Management – Ensuring website is up to date; overseeing events, blog post content and business listings in collaboration with the content team.
Requirements
Essential
1-2 years experience in a relevant field.
Genuine passion for events organisation.
Creative flair with strong eye for visuals, events set up and design.
Energetic personality bringing enthusiasm and fresh ideas.
Excellent writing skills for marketing copy.
Self‑motivated with ability to work independently.
Genuine love for Dublin city and local culture.

Position Details
Employment Type: Permanent, Full‑time.
Location: First Floor, 43–45 Middle Abbey Street, Dublin 1.
