A leading construction business with multiple active project sites across Ireland is seeking an experienced EHS Manager to oversee Health & Safety and Environmental compliance across the organisation. This is a key role within the company's management structure, ensuring that all sites operate to the highest safety standards while supporting ongoing project delivery.
Your new role
As EHS Manager, you will play a central role in managing, coordinating and driving all Environmental, Health and Safety initiatives across multiple project sites. You will work closely with Directors, Site Managers, Supervisors and third‑party contractors to maintain compliance, deliver training, and promote a strong safety culture throughout the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Health & Safety Management
Manage and support numerous PSCS projects across the business.
Conduct regular site inspections and internal audits; present findings and corrective actions to management.
Chair daily whiteboard meetings on designated sites.
Maintain and update all site‑specific EHS Plans, inductions and RAMS throughout each project lifecycle.
Ensure compliance with company safety statements, environmental manuals, risk assessments, legislation and procedures.
Manage site safety files, registers, SEOR documentation and general site establishment requirements.
Training, Reporting & Communication
Maintain the training matrix for all staff and arrange/provide training where required.
Deliver toolbox talks and facilitate safety briefings across all teams.
Present weekly site statistics, project updates and monthly KPI reports.
Provide guidance, instruction and advice on all EHS matters to management, employees and sub‑contractors.
Incident & Risk Management
Lead accident/incident investigations and follow through on corrective actions.
Review contractor appointments, ensuring only competent contractors are engaged.
Support health and safety campaigns and promotion initiatives across all sites.
Site‑Specific Duties
Track and manage GA1, GA2 and GA3 compliance.
Carry out onsite inductions and verify relevant training certifications.
Conduct weekly safety walks and respond to safety reports.
Review site‑specific RAMS and safety statements before contractor mobilisation.
Use BIM systems to track incidents, planned vs actuals and good‑catch reports.
Issue permits, Safe Work Plans and maintain all required registers (plant, lifting, induction etc.).
Update safety plans and monitor antigen test results (where applicable).
What you'll need to succeed
Experience in a similar EHS management role within construction or engineering.Strong working knowledge of Irish Health & Safety legislation.
Proven experience managing multiple project sites.
Excellent communication, reporting and organisational skills.
Ability to lead safety initiatives and influence safe working culture across diverse teams.
