Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Engineering department, you will play a crucial role in delivering innovative design solutions for new concepts and customisation of existing products.
The post holder will be responsible for working within multi-disciplined engineering teams to deliver results that meet the company's objectives. This includes:
* Producing 3D models of parts and assemblies
* Creating 2D detail drawings of parts and 2D assembly drawings
* Developing electrical harness routing and equipment layouts
* Creating 2D and 3D PDFs of electrical harness and equipment layouts
* Managing assembly and BOM configuration
* Releasing engineering drawings following company procedures
* Supporting prototype hardware build through NPI development
* Contributing to design solutions
You will work collaboratively as part of an integrated project team to deliver work packages to the project plan. You will also work within the company procedures as laid out in the Design Office Handbook.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A 3rd-level qualification in a relevant engineering or related discipline
* Strong 3D CAD modelling skills
* Previous experience in a design and/or engineering-related role
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Strong IT skills including MS office tools
