Job Overview
A skilled Estimator/Quantity Surveyor is sought to analyze construction drawings, prepare enquiry documents, and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction management principles and excellent commercial acumen.
Key Responsibilities
* Analyze construction drawings and specifications to identify labour, material, and specialist requirements.
* Prepare enquiry documents, source materials, and subcontractor quotations, including final negotiations and orders.
* Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure costs are managed effectively.
* Complete monthly sub contractor valuations through to final account and monthly valuations to PQS, recording all additional works items.
* Liaise with clients to agree rates/variations and cost analysis.
* Measure works as per contract specific schedule of rates.
* Prepare and submit interim valuations and final accounts within agreed timescales.
Requirements
* Honours Degree in Quantity Surveying/Construction Management or related discipline.
* Experience in Estimating/Quantity Surveying role within Main Contracting organisation for at least 2 years.
* Articulate, pro-active with excellent commercial acumen and communication skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft packages (Outlook, Word, Excel, Project).
