Job Overview
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Accountant to cover a maternity contract. The successful candidate will report directly into our Accounts Manager.
Key Qualifications and Skills:
* Audit experience with proficiency in MS Excel and Word
* Demonstrated analytical and communication skills, ability to organize work effectively and meet deadlines
* Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team
Responsibilities:
* Assisting in the preparation of monthly accounts from initiation to sign off in the area of profit & loss, balance sheet
* Preparation of quarterly accounting information, to include Cost Centre/Departmental Reporting
* Monitoring compliance with corporate policies regarding Cash Management
* Preparation of budgets / forecasts and daily/weekly/monthly cash reconciliations from various depots
* Preparation / filing VAT3/VAT RTD/Intra Stat and other statutory returns
