Mechanical Workshop Operative Job ProfileControlled Environments Company (CEC) is a single source supplier and solutions provider to customers operating in critically clean and controlled environments.
We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Workshop Operative, to work at our Leixlip location. Responsibilities:Assist in the assembly and fabrication of mechanical components, systems, and machinery.Use tools and machinery to manufacture parts and components.Measure and check dimensions of parts to ensure accuracy and conformity to specifications.Perform routine maintenance on mechanical equipment and machinery.Diagnose and repair faults or malfunctions in mechanical systems, ensuring timely and efficient repairs.Conduct tests and inspections to identify mechanical issues.Operate various mechanical equipment and machinery, ensuring proper functioning and adherence to safety protocols.Ensure that machines are properly calibrated and maintained.Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and safe working environment.Ensure all equipment is used according to safety guidelines and regulations.Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when operating machinery or handling hazardous materials.Assist in the management of parts and tools inventory.Maintain accurate records of parts used, repairs completed, and equipment maintenance schedules.Perform quality control checks on finished products or repairs.Ensure that work is completed in line with specifications, and industry /client standards.Skills and Experience:Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and workshop machinery such as Lathes, Milling Machines, CNC Routers.Knowledge of mechanical principles.Previous experience working in a mechanical workshop environment is advantageous.Experience with CNC machinery, welding, or specialized mechanical systemsExperience with CAD/CAM is advantageous.An apprenticeship or vocational qualification and or relevant experience in mechanical engineering or a related field is advantageous.Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.Good problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Team-oriented with good communication skills.The role typically involves working in a workshop or factory environment.
