As a Project Management Apprentice, you'll develop a broad and adaptable skillset - mastering stakeholder engagement, governance, financial control, and risk management.
You'll play a key role in delivering projects that improve processes, enhance customer experience, and drive innovation across Amazon's diverse business lines.
Throughout the programme, you'll use recognised quality management frameworks and project methodologies to bring ideas to life, all while earning your BSc (Hons) Degree in Project Management.
What You'll Do
As a Project Management Apprentice, you'll gain experience working on real projects that have tangible business impact.
You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, lead planning sessions, and support initiatives that make a difference to Amazon's customers and employees.
Your work will involve coordinating resources, managing risks, and using data-driven insights to track performance and deliver successful outcomes.

During Your Apprenticeship, You'll Learn How To:
Manage and support projects to achieve defined objectives, timelines, and budgets
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project alignment with business priorities
Identify and mitigate risks, applying structured problem-solving techniques
Use data and metrics to monitor project progress and report outcomes to stakeholders
Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success
Present project updates using dashboards and reports to communicate impact
Apply analytical thinking to evaluate and improve processes
Support strategic planning and contribute ideas that drive positive change

Your Development

You'll learn by doing, applying new knowledge every day while supported by expert mentors and experienced project professionals.
This 42-month programme, starting in September ****, combines on-the-job learning with structured study time, allowing you to work towards your BSc (Hons) Degree in Project Management.
You'll spend 80% of your time working in your business area and 20% on dedicated learning, which may include travel to a training centre depending on your provider's location.

Key job responsibilities
Project Planning and Delivery
Manage and support projects to achieve defined objectives, timelines, and budgets
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project alignment with business priorities
Identify risks early and collaborate on practical mitigation strategies
Use data-driven insights to monitor progress, report outcomes, and recommend improvements
Stakeholder and Communication Management
Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Communicate clearly and confidently with diverse teams and senior leaders
Present project updates using dashboards, metrics, and reports to highlight impact and progress
Continuous Improvement and Innovation
Apply analytical thinking to evaluate processes and identify areas for improvement
Champion innovation and simplification in your area of responsibility
Support strategic planning sessions and contribute ideas that drive positive change
A day in the life
Collaboration with various stakeholders to plan and execute projects efficiently
Participation in planning meetings to align on project goals and milestones
Tracking project progress using data and reporting tools
Identifying and mitigating potential risks or blockers
Coordinating resources and timelines to meet deliverables
Presenting project updates and insights to stakeholders
Supporting process improvement initiatives to simplify workflows and enhance efficiency
Learning from experienced project and program managers through mentorship and coaching
Balancing studies with real-world application, dedicating 20% of your time to degree learning
Contributing to Amazon's culture of continuous improvement and innovation
About the team
Our Project Management Apprentices work across a diverse range of Amazon teams—from HR and Operations to Technology and Entertainment.
You could find yourself supporting people programmes, driving innovation in tech, optimising processes in operations, or contributing to projects in our entertainment businesses.
While we aim to match placements to your skills and interests, team allocation is driven by business need, so flexibility and curiosity are key.
Wherever you're based, you'll play an active role in delivering projects that improve processes, enhance customer experience, and drive meaningful results.
You'll collaborate with a diverse network of colleagues, mentors, and leaders who'll support your professional growth and help you build a strong foundation for a successful career in project management.
Basic Qualifications
To qualify for this programme, you must: be 18 years or over before the start date (September ****)
Have the right to live and work in England (if you are on a visa, this needs to enable you to legally work and reside in England for the entire duration of the programme until September ****)
Have lived in the UK or EEA for the last 3 years
Be a resident of the UK for the entire duration of the programme
Not be registered on another government-funded course ending August **** or later
Hold at least 5 GCSEs at grade 4 (C) or above, including Maths and English
Have 3 A Levels or equivalent qualifications at grade C or above
Provide Statement of Comparability for qualifications obtained outside the UK (through UK ENIC)
Previous qualifications will be reviewed for funding eligibility and offers are subject to funding approval
This apprenticeship assumes the candidate has little or no knowledge/experience of the occupation
