Job Description: CNM3 Theatre Manager Location: Mullingar Contract: Full-time, Permanent Salary: Competitive (Aligned with HSE salary scale based on years of experience) About the Role We are seeking an experienced and dynamic CNM3 Theatre Manager to lead and manage our Theatre Department. The successful candidate will provide strategic, operational, and clinical leadership, ensuring the highest standards of patient care, safety, and service delivery. Key Responsibilities Provide strong clinical and managerial leadership to theatre nursing and support staff. Oversee the effective daily operation of theatre services, ensuring high-quality, patient-centred care. Lead strategic planning and development of theatre services, including staffing, resource allocation, and service improvement initiatives. Ensure compliance with clinical governance, regulatory standards, infection prevention & control, and all relevant policies and procedures. Drive continuous quality improvement, audit processes, and evidence-based practice. Support staff development through mentorship, education, performance management, and workforce planning. Collaborate with senior management, surgical teams, and multidisciplinary colleagues to deliver efficient, safe, and integrated patient care pathways. Contribute to budget planning, cost management, and resource optimisation. Maintain effective communication and foster a collaborative, supportive team environment. Qualifications & Experience Registered General Nurse with NMBI registration. Minimum of 5 years post-registration experience, with at least 2 years in a senior perioperative/acute leadership role. A recognised management or leadership qualification is desirable. Demonstrated experience managing theatre services, staff, resources, and clinical performance. Proven ability to lead change, influence teams, and deliver service development. Strong communication, organisational, and decision-making skills.
