We are seeking a highly skilled postdoctoral researcher to join our team and contribute to the development of innovative manufacturing solutions.
Job Description:
This role will involve working on a cutting-edge project focused on design for metal additive manufacturing. You will be responsible for developing advanced software tools that integrate Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technologies with Computer Aided Design and Manufacturing platforms.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronic / Industrial / Control / Software Engineering, as well as experience in Metal Additive Manufacturing processes, designing and simulating mechanical parts and assemblies using CAD and CAE tools, and programming languages such as MATLAB, Python, C++, Java.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* PhD in a relevant field (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Industrial, Control, or Software Engineering)
* Strong research experience in Metal Additive Manufacturing processes, CAD and CAE tools, and programming languages such as MATLAB, Python, C++, Java
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Others:
This position is intended for early stage researchers, either just after completion of a PhD or for someone entering a new area for the first time. The PD1 position is not suitable for applicants who have already completed their PD1 stage in UCD or will soon complete a PD1, or those with total Postdoctoral experience exceeding 4 years.
